We went to Boston for our 25th anniversary.

Sunday, July 23

We brought the boys over to Omaha on Saturday.  We went swimming with them at the hotel, ate pizza and took them to the train station about 10:30 that night. On Sunday we drove to Audubon for church.  After church we went back to Omaha and flew out about 5:30. We switched planes in Milwaukee and arrived in Boston about 10:30. We took a taxi to our hotel and checked in. Monday, July 24

We got up about 10:00 on Monday.  We left the hotel and began to walk with no idea where we were.  It was great! We ended up in the business district and found a cafe that was still making breadfast and had a couple of egg roll-ups. By 1:00 we had found Boston Commons and began looking for the red line. We looked at a map and tried to assimilate ourselves to the park so we could locate the red line.  Finally we just sat down to study the map. We finally found the red line from where we were sitting when we realized it was the big red line that was on the ground right in front of us. We followed the red line about 1/3 of the way through the freedom walk on Monday. We saw the Boston Common, The State House, Park STreet Church,The Granary Burying Ground, The King's Chapel, the cemetary by the King's Chapel, the Old Corner Bookstore, the Old South Meeting House, The Old State House, the site of the Boston Massacre and Faneuil Hall.
